Chivas pulled off a dramatic 4-3 victory over Atlético de San Luis thanks to goals from USMNT winger Cade Cowell, a brace by Armando González, and an own goal by Juan Manuel Sanabria – an action in which dual-national Richard Ledezma played a key role. With the win, Gabriel Milito’s side earned their first points of the Apertura 2025.

What seemed like a comfortable win quickly turned into a nightmare for Chivas in the second half, as goals from Eduardo Águila in the 50th minute, Joao Pedro in the 69th minute, and Benjamín Galdames turned the score around, putting San Luis ahead 3-2 in the 75th minute.
