Tottenham fans have been reacting to Arsenal’s big news this week, and it’s fair to say they’re not intimidated by the arrival of Unai Emery.

The tide in North London has started to shift in recent years. Arsenal fans will of course point to the FA Cup trophies they have won as evidence they are still the top dogs, but there is no doubt who is playing the better football between the two great rivals.

Arsene Wenger had the experience and nous in North London while Mauricio Pochettino had the youth and flair, but that dynamic will all change as Unai Emery takes the helm at the Emirates.

The Spaniard left PSG after failing to win the Champions League, but still managed to grab five trophies in France, including this season’s impressive treble.

Emery’s most impressive feat however is undoubtedly the three consecutive Europa League titles with Sevilla, beating Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool in 2016 in his final game in charge of the Spanish side.

While Arsenal are experiencing the end of an era, there is a real feeling that the Pochettino era is only just beginning, and Spurs fans are extremely confident the Argentine will have the better of the Gunners’ new boss.
