Ruben Amorim's side suffered yet another disappointing Premier League defeat on Sunday as their domestic form continues its disappointing trajectory

Manchester United suffered a 4-3 defeat at Brentford on Sunday as Ruben Amorim's side's struggles in the Premier League continue into the final month of the campaign.

Mason Mount gave United the lead with his first goal of the season, but a Luke Shaw own goal and Kevin Schade header had the Bees in front before the break.

Schade and Yoane Wissa added to the hosts' lead in the second half, before Alejandro Garnacho's belter and Amad Diallo's individual effort threatened a comeback that the Red Devils couldn't quite complete.

Made a couple of decent instinctive saves but looked nervous from Brentford's onslaught of set-pieces and long throws.

Substituted at half-time after failing to make any impression on the first half down United's right.

Did not disgrace himself on what was a difficult day for United's defence in general. Helped to keep Wissa relatively quiet.

Matthijs de Ligt (4/10):

Part of a wobbly start to the game, before Brentford went ahead while he was on the ground with an injury that was serious enough to force him off in the first half.

Luke Shaw (4/10):

Scored an own goal that brought Brentford level and was subbed at half-time.

Harry Amass (5/10)

Neat and tidy in possession and kept Mbeumo quiet on the whole, but had no influence on the game in attack.

Made a tidy start to the game but waned in influence as it played out, with Brentford generally in control.

Was industrious off the ball, winning it back on a few occasions, but another who struggled in possession.

United's best player while he was on, putting them in front in the first half before teeing up Garnacho for a chance that was squandered just before the break.

Worked hard in attack but had very little to feed off from United's limited forays forward.

Missed a big chance to equalise when air-kicking Mount's cross just before the break, but scored a beauty in the second half when he bent a long-distance effort into the top corner.

Harry Maguire (5/10):

Came on with his side 2-1 down and wasn't able to stem the tide.

Lenny Yoro (4/10):

Introduced at half-time and was also part of a defensive struggle for the visitors, with Brentford's fourth coming down his side.

Amad Diallo (7/10):

Showed some signs of promise on his Premier League return and scored an excellent goal when cutting in from the right and drilling low into the net.

Christian Eriksen (5/10):

Tried to inject some tempo into the game but a skewed long-range effort was the best he had to show for his efforts, ultimately. Received a frosty reception from the home fans.

Victor Lindelof (5/10):

Was subbed on with 15 minutes to play but did not contribute much of note.

Understandably made multiple changes to his side, but did not get the performance he will have hoped for from his stand-ins.
