The midfielder joined Everton’s youth system in 1997, and progressed through the academy before making his first-team debut for the Merseyside outfit during the 2002-03 campaign.
Osman, who was not a fan of his former club appointing Sam Allardyce as head coach in November, went on to make 433 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees – scoring 57 times in the process during a hugely successful career.

The 36-year-old was released from Everton when his contract expired at the end of the 2015-16 campaign, and he announced his retirement from professional football shortly after.
Much like Tony Hibbert, Osman was a player that was always more valued by the Everton supporters than those looking in.
It would be fair to say that the Everton fans are not overly happy with what is happening at their football club at the moment, and one supporter claimed that Osman is ahead of all of the midfielders that currently turn out for the Merseyside outfit.
