Former Manchester United player Brandon Williams faces up to two years in prison after he pleaded guilty to dangerous driving charges.

The 24-year-old was caught speeding at 99mph in August 2023 and last month pleaded guilty to the charge, also admitting driving without third-party insurance. Williams' Audi A3 collided with a Ford Fiesta before crashing into the central reservation.

The full-back, who joined United as an eight-year-old before making his debut in 2019, will learn his sentence at a hearing that has been scheduled for May 9. He could receive a prison sentence of up to two years, the maximum set for such a conviction.

Williams was loaned to Norwich in 2021 and spent last season with Ipswich. In May last year, he was banned from driving and left Old Trafford when his contract expired last summer. He has been without a club since then.
